NOTICE OF PUBLIC MEETING

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that on Monday, March 9, 2020, the City of Westlake, City Council, sitting as the Local Planning Agency will hold a Public Meeting at 6:00 PM, or as soon thereafter possible to be held in the Westlake Community Center/City Council Chambers located at 4005 Seminole Pratt Whitney Road, Westlake, Florida, 33470.  

NOTICE IS FURTHER GIVEN that this is an OPEN MEETING, and the public is encouraged to attend.  Meeting agendas may be downloaded from the City of Westlake’s Official website at www.westlakegov.com or be requested from the City Clerk’s Office.

If any interested party wishes to appeal any decision made by the City Council with respect to any matter considered at this meeting, such interested parties will need a record of the proceedings and may need to ensure that a verbatim record is made, including the testimony and evidence upon which the appeal is to be based.

In accordance with the Americans with Disabilities Act and Section 286.26, Florida Statutes, persons with disabilities needing special accommodations in order to participate in this proceeding are entitled to the provision of certain assistance. NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARINGS, NOTICE OF COMPREHENSIVE PLAN AMENDMENTS TO UPDATE 10-YEAR WATER SUPPLY FACILITIES WORK PLAN, AND OTHER UPDATES 

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that on Monday, March 9, 2020 the City of Westlake, City Council, sitting as the Local Planning Agency, will hold a Public Meeting at 6:00 PM, or as soon thereafter possible to be held in the Westlake Community Center/City Council Chambers located at 4005 Seminole Pratt Whitney Road, Westlake, Florida, 33470 to consider the following Ordinance which will amend its adopted Comprehensive Plan, Water Supply Plan Updates, and other updates and make a recommendation to the City Council concerning the consistency of the proposal with the Comprehensive Plan:

ORDINANCE NO. 2020-03 - AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL FOR THE CITY OF WESTLAKE, FLORIDA, AMENDING ITS COMPREHENSIVE PLAN TO ADOPT BY REFERENCE AN UPDATED 10-YEAR WATER SUPPLY FACILITIES WORK PLAN AS REQUIRED BY 163.3177, FLORIDA STATUTES; PROVIDING FOR THE ADOPTION OF AMENDMENTS TO THE CITY'S COMPREHENSIVE PLAN TO IMPLEMENT THE UPDATED WATER SUPPLY FACILITIES WORK PLAN; PROVIDING FOR ADOPTION OF UPDATED POLICIES WITHIN THE COMPREHENSIVE PLAN INFRASTRUCTURE ELEMENT; PROVIDING FOR TRANSMITTAL TO THE STATE LAND PLANNING AGENCY, DEPARTMENT OF ECONOMIC OPPORTUNITY; PROVIDING THE REPEAL OF LAWS IN CONFLICT; PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY; PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.  

The City of Westlake, City Council will consider on first reading and transmittal to required review agencies and other parties, during a public hearing at the Regular City Council Meeting, to be held on March 9, 2020 at 6:30 PM, or as soon thereafter possible in the location listed above. Second reading will occur after receiving/addressing agency comments.

NOTICE IS FURTHER GIVEN that this is an OPEN MEETING, and the public is encouraged to appear at said meeting and be heard with respect to the proposed Ordinance.  Copies of any related documents may be requested and are available for inspection and copying in the City Clerk’s Office at 4001 Seminole Pratt Whitney Road, Westlake, Florida 33470.
