NOTICE OF PUBLIC MEETING

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the City of Westlake City Council, sitting as the Local Planning Agency will conduct a PUBLIC MEETING, Monday, September 14, 2020 at 7:00 p.m., or as soon thereafter as the agenda permits following the First Budget Hearing. This meeting shall be held Via Communications Media Technology in accordance with the Governor’s Executive Order 2020-69 (as extended by Executive Orders 20-112, 20-123, 20-139, 20-150, 20-179, and 20-193), and City of Westlake Executive Order 2020-08.

Due to COVID-19, and the need to ensure public health safety and welfare, this meeting will be conducted without a quorum of its members present physically or at any specific location and utilizing communications media technology such as telephonic or video conferencing, as provided by Section 120.54(5)(b)2, Florida Statutes.

NOTICE IS FURTHER GIVEN that this is an OPEN MEETING, and the public is encouraged to access and participate in meeting proceedings through electronic or telephonic means as follows:

The meeting agenda may be downloaded from the City of Westlake’s Official website at www.westlakegov.com or be requested from the City Clerk’s Office when made available.

Public Comments will be accepted via an electronic comment card, at least 24 hours prior to the public meeting and acknowledged during the meeting when participants utilize the “raise your hand” feature during the designated time. Procedures for Public Comment are provided via the City website https://www.westlakegov.com/cityclerk/page/covid-19-public-meetings.

Consistent with section 286.0105, Florida Statutes, if any interested party wishes to appeal any decision made by the City Council with respect to any matter considered at this meeting, such interested parties will need a record of the proceedings and may need to ensure that a verbatim record is made, including the testimony and evidence upon which the appeal is to be based.
