NOTICE OF BOARD VACANCY
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WESTLAKE, FLORIDA IS ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS FROM THOSE RESIDENTS INTERESTED IN SERVING ON THE FOLLOWING BOARD:
Art in Public Places Advisory Board
Five (5) Regular Members
Two (2) Alternate Member
One (1) Non-Voting Student Member
Please download and complete an Advisory Board/Committee Application from the Boards & Committee page on the City’s Website - https://www.westlakegov.com/bc. Please submit board application and resume to the City Clerk’s office by email to zburgess@westlakegov.com by Friday, February 11, 2022. Please contact the City Clerk’s Office at (561) 530-5880 with any questions.
Board Requirements:
- Knowledge of the arts, such as at least four years of experience related to the arts or an educational degree related to the arts, and possess competence in the evaluation of art, art history, art education, architecture, sculpture, painting and other appropriate media, urban design, or a related field.
- Board members shall either live or work in the City.
- Each board member shall serve without compensation and at the pleasure of the City Council.
- No board member may be the artist, provide the artwork, consulting services or have any interest in any artwork to be reviewed by the Art in Public Places Advisory Board, whether proposed by a private developer or the by the City.
