COVID-19 Update - Palm Beach County Reopening Activities
Palm Beach County Mayor Dave Kerner, joined by other local officials today announced the details of County Executive Order 2020-005 for the the reopening (with restrictions) of certain recreational activities and related facilities. The reopening of such activities and facilities must still adhere to social distancing guidelines and other measures outlined by the Center for Disease Control (CDC) and/or the County. With restrictions, the Executive Order, will take effect Wednesday, April 29th and will permit the reopening of boating and marine activities, golf courses, public parks and natural areas.
For the City of Westlake, specifically, Adventure Park, city staff has discussed the reopening with the HOA and it has been assured that a plan was in progress with a commitment to meet or exceed the guidelines to reopen safely. City staff will also work with local law enforcement to ensure guidelines are strictly enforced.
