Hurricane Ian - Emergency Declaration

On September 24, 2022, Governor Ron DeSantis issued Executive Order Number 22-219 declaring a state of emergency for several counties in the State of Florida, in anticipation of impacts from the storm. 

The City Council of the City of Westlake, Florida, hereby declares a State of Emergency for the City of Westlake, Florida as a result of the threat to the life, health, property or public peace in the City caused by the tropical event referred to as Hurricane Ian. 

Pursuant to section 166.041 of the Florida statutes an Emergency Ordinance will be considered for adoption on October 4, 2022, to allow for emergency appropriations to ensure that the life, safety, and welfare of the residents of the City of Westlake, Florida are served during this emergency.
