City of Westlake Welcomes Fire Station 22
Mayor Manning and Vice Mayor Long Robinson represented the City in welcoming Fire Station 22 during the Grand Opening Ceremonies January 9, 2020.
The 13,000 square foot facility is the first Palm Beach County Fire Rescue Fire Station designed to meet the new firefighter cancer prevention initiatives with dedicated decontamination rooms and separate climate controlled bunker storage. With 4 bays housing an advanced life support Engine and Rescue unit, a 3,000 gallon Water Tender, a Brush Truck and a High-Water Vehicle, the station was also designed with high-efficiency HVAC systems and LED lighting. It will be home to to six (6) uniformed personnel 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
