PBC CARES FOR BUSINESS - Business 1 Grant
The COVID-19 crises forced the Palm Beach County business community to confront immense challenges. Small business owners in particular are facing highly difficult circumstances. We are pleased to implement the Palm Beach County CARES Small Business Grant Program to help vulnerable small businesses negatively impacted by the coronavirus pandemic.
Palm Beach County CARES for Business (PBC CARES) offers emergency financial support for qualified small businesses negatively impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic due to orders to close or limit operations. PBC CARES provides up to $5,000 per grant to help offset the significant, temporary loss of revenue to qualified businesses during this pandemic by assisting businesses in retaining and paying employees. The program is designed to help small businesses that were unable to receive funding through other small business assistance programs.
The County has allocated $280,000 for Phase One of PBC CARES. Funding comes from the County's federal Community Development Block Grant. This program is funded with Community Development Block Grant money.

Business Assistance Grants available this Friday, May 22, 2020 at 8:00 AM - 60 Million Available to Restart Business in Palm Beach County
The Palm Beach County Board of County Commissioners (BCC) approved the CARES Restart Business Grants Program on May 15, 2020 to accelerate the reopening of businesses hardest hit by COVID-19.
The $60 million Business Restart Program uses a portion of the county's $261 million allocation from the Federal CARES Act approved by Congress. The BCC has dedicated $50 million toward businesses with 25 or fewer employees and $10 million towards businesses with greater than 25 employees.
The program guidelines, including eligibility criteria, are currently posted on the County's website. The BCC gave approval for individual grants up to $25,000 to help Palm Beach County businesses forced to close or limit operations and are now planning to "restart" based on the county's phased opening process.
