JohnPaul O'Connor, Mayor

Mayor JohnPaul O’Connor is an accomplished entrepreneur and Audiovisual design engineer with a strong background in technology. 

A native of Sunny South Florida, JohnPaul, affectionately known as J.P., received his education not more than an hour's drive from Westlake. He has always harbored a passion for foreign languages, fluently speaking Spanish and studying several others.

J.P. is a proud father of two children, three-year-old Jace Preston O’Connor and one-year-old Kennedy Reagan O’Connor.  

Additionally, Mayor O’Connor is actively involved in civic leadership roles. He serves as a governing board member of the Palm Beach League of Cities and chairs the Technology and Cybersecurity Committee for the league. 

Furthermore, he sits on the Palm Beach Transportation Planning Agency Technical Advisory Committee and the Intergovernmental and Transportation Committee for the Florida League of Cities. Notably, Mayor O'Connor is a graduate of the prestigious Leadership Palm Beach County Engage 2023 class, demonstrating his commitment to community development and excellence in leadership.
